How do you know it’s time for a Savannah GA solar installation? Well, when a Georgia homeowner decided that another summer of power outages was absolutely not on the menu, they turned to Firefly Solar. It wasn’t just about saving on bills; it was about taking back control. Because let’s face it, when the grid starts flinching at every thunderstorm, it’s time to stop playing defense. And this client, indeed, went for it with a full on Savannah solar battery backup system that BRINGS IT.

Firefly Solar’s crew engineered a 3.2 kWDC system with performance and resilience at its heart.
Here’s the quick rundown:

• Solar Modules: (8) Hyperion HY-DH-108P8B, 400W beauties soaking up that Georgia sun
• Inverters: (8) Enphase IQ8PLUS-72-2-US, ensuring each panel performs at its peak
• Energy Storage: (3) Enphase IQ Battery 5P units offering a hearty 15kWh of backup
• Mounting System: IronRidge XR-10 rails locked down with S-5! Protea brackets
• Roof Type: Corrugated metal, no match for Firefly’s rugged, weatherproof design

The system tied into Georgia Power’s infrastructure via net metering — because why not spin that meter backward when the sun’s being generous?

• Backup Power Boss: 15kWh of battery backup from a beefy Savannah Solar Battery Backup setup
• Optimized Efficiency: Enphase microinverters ensure each panel gives its best — no freeloaders here
• Bill Slasher: Utility bills taking a back seat thanks to seamless net metering
• Storm-Ready Engineering: Designed to handle Savannah’s gusty summers and heavy rains
• Aesthetic Wins: Panels that blend cleanly into the metal roof like they were born there
• Code-Perfect: Built to sail through Chatham County inspections (and did)

Corrugated metal roofing tends to make most installers sweat. Firefly Solar didn’t blink. Using S-5! Protea brackets and 18 precisely engineered attachment points, they achieved a rock-solid mount that laughs at 134 mph winds. Look, Savannah storms aren’t best known for being polite.

And the 15kWh Enphase IQ Battery 5P setup? That wasn’t just for show. It meant that when the neighborhood went dark (which, spoiler alert, it already has once since install), this homeowner was still blending smoothies and binge-watching TV without missing a beat.

Since flipping the switch, this customized Savannah solar power system has delivered:

• An estimated 82% offset of total annual electricity use
• True grid independence during at least two known power outages
• A measurable bump in home value thanks to sleek, modern solar integration
• The kind of peace of mind that makes you almost look forward to storm season

As one observer (ME!) put it: While the neighbors were lighting candles, our client was lighting up the mood. Yep, that would be the party!
